The Aten chainring is the most aerodynamic and technologically advanced chainring for top level track competition.
Machined from titanium and reinforced with a carbon back plate, Aten chainrings are meticulously polished and then titanium nitride coated for increased longevity and drivetrain efficiency.
AERODYNAMICS - 25cm per lap
Aten chainrings are UCI approved, and feature a lenticular outer profile with an undulating chain ridge, helping to keep the airflow attached over the chain as it passes down the face of the chainring.
Removable bolt covers ensure that the surface of the ring is uniform all the way to the crankset spider.
The aero advantage of an Aten chainring is 25cm per lap from 50-70kph compared with a standard aero chainring on a 250m velodrome. Aten chainrings reduce the aerodynamic drag of the bike and rider system by ~0.3% compared with a standard aero chainring (1.6w at 60kph). Compared with a non aero/solid chainring the advantage is greater: 37cm per lap/2.4w @ 60kph.
UCI LEGAL
Aten chainrings are compliant with the latest UCI regulations regarding equipment and may be used in UCI sanctioned events.
COMPATIBILITY
Aten chainrings are compatible with all major cranksets that accept an aero chainring. This includes but is not limited to SRM, Infocrank, Power2Max/Rotor Aldhu, Miche Pistard Air.
Aten rings come in 1/8" width only and 144bcd. Please check chainstay clearance for larger sizes.
